Polish Week

The district of Silly will be falling in love with all things Polish between 13 and 23 October 2011.
This is your chance to acquaint yourselves with the country’s history, gastronomy, artists and inhabitants.

On the programme for the ten-day event:
• a jazz concert by the Piotr Paluch trio (more information HERE),
• a singing recital by Aga Winska, winner of the 1988 ‘Concours Reine Elisabeth’,
• an exhibition on Marie Curie,
• an exhibition and debate on Solidarność,
• an exhibition of paintings by Anna Kropiowska and Magena Treska,
• an exhibition on the Wielicaka salt mines,
• cinema (highlights are Les Palmes de M. Schutz by Claude. Pinoteau and The Way Back directed by Peter Weir,
• an exhibition on gastronomy.
