Chamber Music for Europe-Biennale, in collaboration with the Polish Institute in Brussels, pays tribute to the Polish composer Mieczysław Weinberg on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth (1919-1996).
Too little is known about the music of this composer, whose destiny embraces the tragic adventures of the 20th century.
Weinberg's heritage is rich with 26 symphonies, 7 concerts, 17 string quartets, 22 sonatas for piano and other instruments, about 30 singing cycles and 7 operas
